Curvy women are still fighting to make it into high profile fashion 
magazines. As Fashionologie said regarding the April 2006 issue of Vogue, "It's a nice idea for Vogue to do the whole bodily conscious thing, but perhaps there could have been a "curvy" category?"
This fight also goes for the short women out there. I'm 5'5" and considered too short to be a fashion model. No America's Next Top Model for me :( However, I could go to Asia....because I'm pretty much an Amazon in my native country of the Philippines!
I know that anything is possible - perhaps one day someone with some good sense and creativity will change that. I think it would have to start with the designers themselves.
It's no wonder that many women out there have body issues and strive so hard to be something they're not.
