I've never applied for a big time publisher like Condè Nast, so I can just imagine what it would be like trying to figure out what to wear for an interview with them. Almost Girl shares an interesting and entertaining story for Carnival of Couture of the time she hunted and hunted for the perfect pair of shoes for her interview with Condè Nast....
Which makes me wonder....what would I wear for a big time interview with a fashion mecca? Does the brand matter? Could I walk in wearing Target and would they notice? I know it's part psychology, but you do feel great when you're wearing a $300 pair of shoes vs a $25 pair. I do believe shoes are your best armor when on the journey into a fashion career. And as Almost Girl says, "Because shoes are the one area you should never fudge..."
