pollution and waste spread from manufacturing facilities. This had led to a new generation of fashion designers making designs from organic goods and recycled material.
A Canadian fashion design student has taken fashion to another level. Stephanie Barnscher has created a line of sportswear and uses buttons made from recycled skateboards. She's also discovered other alternatives such as bamboo, hemp, and soy.
Jenny Sherman is also a designer thinking about the environment. She makes handbags from recycled scraps left from textile and garment manufacturers. Jenny's specialties include hippie bags and purses.
