For the past several weeks since starting this blog I've visited other fashion bloggers' websites to see what other fashionistas are talking about these days. I've come across this "Carnivale of Couture" in which a designated fashion blogger hosts or asks a question and others send in their answers to the host of the week. The host blogger then posts everyone's answers on their blog. A great way to network with other fashion-minded people, I must say!
This week's Carnivale of Couture is being hosted by Style Tribe. You can view the invitation here:

Here is my contribution to the "Carnivale":
Up until a few years ago I was a very conservative dresser. I wore black, white, grey, or combinations of those colors. One day I was in a thrift store and saw this pink, orange, brown, and light blue scarf that I immediately fell in love with. It was after that purchase that my "true self" came out. I was no longer fearless about expressing myself through my dress. Even though I was a painter and jewelry artist, I still found it hard to show color on myself. In retrospect, I believe it also had something to do with breaking out of my personal depression. Now I absolutely love color and I feel more alive!
