Inspiration for fashion design can be found in just about anything and
in the least expected places. Remember last season in Project Runway when they had to go out in the city and take pictures and then use one of those pictures as inspiration for an outfit?
I think it's fine to keep up with fashion trends, but isn't it more fun to come up with designs that are inspired from your favorite things? For my jewelry pieces, I find most of my inspiration from nature and food. Recently I've started photographing clouds which inspired me to create this necklace (pictured).
