My boyfriend says that people should be shot for paying thousands of 
dollars for a clothing item. What he fails to understand (as most of the male species do - I presume) that fashion is art. Versace would be the Picasso of fashion as Leonardo da Vinci would be Givenchy.
I walked into the Louis Vuitton store this weekend and the shoes were displayed like works of art. I stood there and just stared at them in awe as if they were paintings hanging in a museum. It's my passion for art that brings it out. Otherwise, I don't think I'd care too much for fashion. (No, I'm lying - I just love fashion period!)
And this is why we will pay extreme amounts of money for fashion. Designer fashion is an investment. And hey, if it makes us look good in the process, why not?
