I'm bummed that I had a chance to shop in H & M in San Francisco this
past December, but the holiday rush left me standing outside with only a glimpse of the inside. There was a huge line to get into the newly opened store -- everybody clamoring to share in the bliss of all that is H & M: great deals and great fashion.
And H & M just keeps growing. With 1,196 stores all across the globe, there are plans to expand into Greece, Germany, Spain, the Netherlands, and Poland. According to a recent report*, the Stockholm-based company posted a 21 percent increase in profit for the first quarter. Sales in the U.S. alone rose 43% in the past year.
H&M, please build a store in San Diego!
