
I've noticed that there seems to be quite a bit of press surrounding India since President Bush visited there. With many major U.S. companies outsourcing to India, I'm sure it won't be long before India will make an impact on many U.S. industries, including fashion. I've always been fascinated with the traditional dress of the Hindu people, especially the women and their colorful and bright saris.
“I am confident that India with its large base of youngsters, could well become the fashion hub of the world. Our youngsters are fluent in English and have an upper hand over the Chinese,” said Shankarsinh Vaghela, Union Textile Minister. “We also need to popularise brand India in the markets of US and European Union which are the largest importers of Indian textile."
