I was a little disturbed when I read Kiss Me, Stace's blog and found out that stilletos are outlawed in Mobile, Alabama. Who has the authority to say what you can and cannot wear in public? I added "in public" because I do believe there should be restrictions in the professional workplace and in grade schools.
Anyhow, just because someone gets her heel caught in the sidewalk and gets hurt doesn't make it ok to make up some insane law like that. People get in car accidents all the time, but they're not banning people from driving cars, right? Same thing, I think.
As Ella says, "Horrifying!" I think I'd have to move from Mobile.
