In the corporate world where fashion retailers are selling hundreds of
thousands of units per week, a few cents difference in stock price can certainly make a difference, huh? This question comes after reading an article about Charlotte Russe's loss per share of 52 cents compared to its loss of three cents for the same quarter in the previous year.
What if each shareholder picks up those pennies off the ground that they see. You know what I'm talking about....those pennies that get discarded like an unwanted stepchild and are ignored by countless passerbys on the sidewalk. Would that make up for the loss they had in Charlotte Russe's stock?
Anyhow, back to business....
On a more serious note, Charlotte Russe plans to open 40 more stores this year and 50 stores in fiscal 2007. Perhaps then, shareholders can start making more cents...(no pun intended!)
