An article at The New York Times prompts me to write about the "throw away" mentality that our society seems to have adopted. We're very quick to throw away old clothing, but I do urge you to stop and think about all those people who can't even afford clothing.
This also serves as a reminder to those of you who are not very mindful of what you even have in your closet. Ahem - clothes with tags still attached... Why buy it if you're not going to wear it? I never quite understood that!
Anyhow, it's spring cleaning time. Why not start with your closet and go through every piece of clothing. If you haven't worn it in six months or doesn't fit you anymore, I suggest donating it to your local thrift store. If you feel apprehension about getting rid of clothes - just think about all the room you'll be making for new stuff!

You have inspired me! It is SO tough for me to let ANYTHING go, but I have so much that I'll never wear again. I can't Even get away with tagging "vintage" on some.
Thank you!
