It's that time again - Carnivale of Couture! Designer Ella is hosting it this week. Her question is:
What is your fashion confession, either a long ago faux pas, or today’s guilty pleasure?
It's funny she should pose this question as I have had this reoccurring flashback of me in neon socks - which I've talked about here before.
Why I keep having this flashback, I'm not quite sure. But I'll go into further detail about this particular outfit that haunts me til this day. Mind you, I don't recall any outfit but this one that I wore one happy day in sixth grade during the 80's.
This ensemble consisted of two short-sleeved polo shirts, one dark blue, one light blue - folded at the arms. Of course, the collars were up :) Tapered dark blue jeans, bright-as-heck yellow neon socks, and brown Hush-Puppy loafers completed the outfit.
What could I possibly have been thinking?
I remember kissing my mom goodbye and walking down the street to school thinking I looked damned good! Uhhh...yeah, right!
