These are the words of Brenda Sharman, the national chairwoman of Pure Fashion, a Catholic program that promotes modest dress in young women. In this program, girls learn about the modesty, hair, make-up, and posture.
I'll say here that this is by no means a condemnation of the fashion industry on my part, but there's something I hope that we can all take away from this. That is, being "sexy" and wearing something because everybody else is wearing it does not constitute a true fashionista. It is my opinion that women should first seek to find beauty and style within. When you find that confidence within yourself, you won't feel the need to show skin.
