According to the Economic Analysis Department, there has been growth in sales of clothing and shoes for 2005-2006. These industries have seen a 9.5% growth for 2005 and 7.3% growth for 2006.
Hmmm...let's see what next year will bring. With the price of gas increasing at astronomical rates, I'm not too optimistic about buying a new spring wardrobe just yet or splurging on a $300 pair of shoes. $300 is two weeks worth of gas for my Yukon, the gas guzzling monster.
Ok, I know, this is not the forum to complain about the price of gas. The point is, how's a fashionista to balance looking great with rising oil prices? It's certainly something to think about...
And a fashionista cannot take public transportation, right?
I think that somehow, gas prices haven't had an effect. We're a loony lot!
