With regards to the fashion industry, London is creating headlines this 
week. I'm guessing that it's their hope of making London a fashion capital. When I think of London, I think of cold weather, big heavy jackets, and black boots. I've never been there - so I don't know where the imagery came from.
Anyhow, earlier this week Tom Ford signed on to be chairman of Fashion Fringe, the showcase of new talent during London's Fashion Week. They announced a call for submissions from young designers.
