Carnivale of Couture: Best-Ever Bargain

The Bargain Queen is hosting this week’s Carnival of Couture and her question is…

What is your best-ever bargain? Where did you find it,

how much was it and why is it your favourite?

I’m quite the bargain hunter and rarely pay full price for anything, unless I truly adore it and can’t live without it.  It took some thought to write this post because I couldn’t decide which one was my “best-ever” as I have sooo many bargains that I love.

There’s the $1 jacket I found at Old Navy.  I practically squealed at this great find…Not exactly “couture”, but it’s worked quite fine for me, thank you!

Then there’s the $8 pair of Saucony running shoes I purchased at Footlocker for women…

But my all-time favorite would have to be the shirt I’m wearing right now – my Jones New York black, long-sleeved shirt.  I bought it at Ross (Dress For Less!) at the bargain price of $9.99.

You know how black shirts tend to fade after so many washes?  Not this shirt.  I love it because it’s made of this rayon-spandex blend, so it’s form fitting…it’s oh, so soft…can dress it up or down…and I can practically wear it with anything!

Wow, Ross; ha ha. My friend scouted me some great, fashionable slippers there. (They have a cute lady sunning herself.) I find it a tad difficult to shop there, though.

The $1 Old Navy jacket reminds me of "bargains" at Aeropostale. All the shirts I've bought there have been inexpensive, but they have always gotten discolored. Old Navy t-shirts last, though! I'm stocking up on some Delia's shirts. Hugs Not Drugs!: I've eyed that for a year and it still comes in my size. Hopefully they won't seem too "nice" to sleep in, because that's what I usually wear t-shirts for. (I have trouble finding PJs.)

Ross is definitely a place that you need alot of time to shop. I only shop there when I'm in the mood to dig around...which is a rare occasion.

I end up using Tshirts for nighties as well :)
