Fashion is a Verb is hosting this week's Carnivale of Couture and the question is:
What movie do you credit with being responsible for the biggest Fashion Don'ts? In other words- Which movie started off clothing trends that never should have been.
The fashion trend that comes to mind is "Daisy Dukes". Didn't really pay attention to it during the 80's when the original Daisy started the actual trend, hated it during the 90's, and despise them today.
("Baby Got Back" has been playing in my head all day...Make it stop!)
Jessica Simpson kinda makes them look ok in the Dukes of Hazzard movie, but I still despise them.
If someone calls you "Hoochie" while wearing these shorts, don't get mad...because it's well deserved. May as well walk around in your underwear!
