I'm a huge basketball fan, but have never gotten around to buying a 
basketball jersey simply for the fact that they're just big and bulky...not very flattering for the diva figure, ya' know?
Well, now the NBA has come out with fashionable attire for the women sports fans. According to an article at the Los Angeles Times, female oriented merchandise accounted for 10% of the $13.2 billion sold last year.
"The woman fan was always there, but as leagues, we'd not given them proper product — it was generally 'Buy the men's small T-shirt or jersey,' " said Lisa Piken, the NBA's director of apparel and accessory licensing.
It certainly makes sense to appeal to the female gender since we're the ones who spend more when we shop! Now if they would only lower the price of jerseys....
