There are many channels by which we can contribute to the needy, and designers are doing it through fashion. Jen of Beauty and Brains reports that NOIR designers are helping out people in
However, she does say this that I agree with:
“…Fashion does need more industry leaders who develop concrete ideas to help the third world help themselves. Even if a handful of society girls buy these items, it can help commerce in a little bit….”
A little bit does go a long way…at least someone is doing something, that’s all that matters. It’s up to us to help in any way that we can, even if it’s just a little bit.
By the way, NOIR is a new fashion label by Peter Ingwersen, a former brand manager for Levi's and managing director of Day Birger et Mikkelsen. He believes that "fashion today carries a greater and deeper meaning."
