I found out from my fellow writer here at KMM, Razib Ahmed, that there's a new Indian fashion icon making a mark in the international fashion industry. Manish Malhotra, India's leading fashion designer, is opening up a store in Dubai, a cosmopolitan city that rivals many Western cities and fashion capitals.
Manish has been involved with fashion for over 16 years, according to this article at AME Info. Plus, he's the only designer in India that has hosted a TV show related to fashion and has outfitted celebrities like Michael Jackson, Reese Witherspoon, and Naomi Campbell.
I've never heard of Manish Malhotra before today, but as part of my goal to "broaden my horizons" (and yours!) in the fashion realm, I try to provide fashion news and information on an international scale. Hope you learned something new today!
