I'm quite fascinated with reading about people's success stories, 
especially those who have made it "big" in the fashion industry. One such person is the uber-famous Ralph Lauren.
One characteristic that I admire about Ralph Lauren's brands is that their timeless. I have several pieces that I've had for quite some time now. What I like is that I can bring these pieces back to life by mixing them with new and trendy pieces.
You would think that he attended some prestigious fashion school, but Mr. Lauren actually learned all his skills by working for other companies first. He started out designing ties and from then on hasn't stopped producing quality products. He had the determination, drive, and will to succeed which are characteristics that all people, not just those in the fashion industry, should try to emulate.
