Shoppers Eat Ramen In Order To Shop

Well, it seems like I got my answer.... The rising gas prices doesn't seem to be curbing consumer spending. Perhaps the Diva's out there are carpooling to the mall... or they could be eating Ramen noodles everyday so that they can go shop... :)  (I've actually heard of someone who ate Ramen for a month straight just to buy a Louis Vuitton bag!)

According to the International Council of Shopping Centers, "sales rebounded slightly by 0.7 percent for the week ending April 29".

"Like the Energizer Bunny, the consumer continues to keep on spending despite rising concerns on the energy front," said Michael P Niemira, ICSC's chief economist and Director of research.
