It's been a couple weeks since I've participated in the Carnivale. My life has run amock as I get ready to move and take a trip. However, when I saw the topic this week, I felt I had to answer so my friends and family will know what I wish to be buried in when my time here on earth has passed. The Style Bard asks:
In what clothes and accessories would you like to be buried?
I have to say that the topic came at a "funny" time... and I say funny because I just signed up for life insurance a month ago and afterwards really started to reflect on my life, thought about the things I have accomplished, and what I want to be remembered for. Plus I realized that there is so much more I want to do!
Anyways - back to the topic at hand....
The first thing that came to mind when I thought about my burial outfit is a long white gown - either my wedding dress or if I am not married, I would like someone to buy a beautiful white gown to be buried in. Perhaps Vera Wang would be the designer of choice. I would also like to wear the gold butterfly necklace that belonged to my mother (God rest her soul), and a pair of white ballet flats. I don't think I would want makeup on my face, except for a little gloss. I just want people to see me in my au natural state.
This would be my outfit if I was indeed buried, but in all honesty, I would probably be cremated and have my ashes thrown in the ocean somewhere...
