Suppose you stepped off a plane in your neighborhood, city, or country. Could you tell you were home by how people were dressed? Is there a Regional Casual Uniform? What do people (and you may narrow down to a specific segment of the population if you like) wear when they are going out, during the day, going to be seen, but not needing to dress up?

nes bright, the attire is casual and laid-back, and everybody lives, works, and plays in their flip-flops.
I jetted to the mall yesterday - on the hunt for a new summer wardrobe, but I had to sit back for awhile and do some people watching. It's been awhile since I've been to the mall. However, I noticed that I haven't missed much...flip flops still rule when it comes to strolling the mall.
Statistically, I would have to say that probably half or more of San Diego wears flip flops on a regular basis. I'm not saying that flip flops are such a bad thing, but my toes seem to be a magnet for other people's shoes - as I've said before.![]()
Well, now I present to you Exhibit A: two sets of women. All of them wearing flips flops...
Now, don't get me wrong - there are some exceptions to the wearers (<< word I made up) of the flip flops. Given the weather in this fine city, you can't help but wear them...Consider me an exception.
