Is it just me or are cell phone companies more focused on selling the
features of their cell phone rather than the actual service and benefits. In online advertising and tv commercials, companies are stressing their new "sleek and slim" cell phone or the variety of colors that it comes in.
Sure, it's nice to have a fashionable cell phone - I even make cell phone charms for that reason - but what happened to having a cell phone that has great service? What good is it to have a fashionable cell phone if it keeps breaking up?
I just think that there's too much focus on the "looks" of things nowadays. I read about a study that J.D. Power and Associates did last year stating that people are placing more importance on the physical design of their cell phone. And the kicker is, people will even pay MORE for a fashionable phone. Go figure! Give me a can of spray paint - I'll make your cell phone look better for $25 ;)
