The industry event of the year took place in New York last night...the 
CFDA Awards. Awards were given out for womenswear, menswear, accessories, journalism, creative vision, and lifetime achievement.
Here are the winners:
Womenswear: Francisco Costa
Menswear: Thom Browne
Accessory Designer of the Year: Tom Binns
Lifetime Achievement Award: Stan Herman of the CFDA
The Swarovski's Perry Ellis Awards went to:
- Doo-Ri Chung for womenswear
- Trovata foursome of Jeff Halmos, Josia Lamberto-Egan, Sam Shipley and John Whitledge for menswear
- Devi Kroell for accessories
Other Awards:
- Eleanor Lambert Award: Joan Kaner - former Neiman Marcus senior vice president and fashion director
- International Award: Olivier Theyskens of Rochas
