I recently discovered Stephanie Quilao's blog, Back in Skinny Jeans. Stephanie takes a very humorous and honest approach to life - with anecdotes about fashion, health, and weight issues. Plus, the occasional rant and other thought provoking ideas..
In Stephanie's post today, "I remember when size 6 was small", it brings back memories of working at Wet Seal when everybody who came in to buy clothes wanted to be a size 6. Now, everybody wants to be a size 2 or 0??
I only blame pop culture and the media for these ridiculous ideas of what "looking good" is supposed to be. Doesn't anybody love themselves anymore?

Thank you for the props Maria! Love your blog. It's a cool discovery ;-)
At least when we were younger, size 6 was still small but healthier than 0/2. I worry about the adolescent girls of today who want so badly to look like Paris, Nicole, Hillary, and Lohan. How do we teach the young-ins to base their esteem on their talents, uniqueness, and ability to be loving humans instead of the size of their jeans? I ponder this often.
