It was a very warm and humid day here in San Diego and for some reason I'm reminded of the post I did awhile back about how global warming is affecting the fashion industry and how we dress. As the seasons get warmer and warmer, it also seems that the summer may turn out to be a longer one than usual. Retailers may think about stocking their stores with summer clothing beyond September or even October. That's just my guess.
It seems that I'm not the only fashion-minded person thinking about global warming. I read via Artists Unite Issue that Vanity Fair (May 2006) commissioned a rendering of a picture of NYC - what the city would look like if the issue of global warming isn't addressed. (Check out the picture at Artists Unite Issue).
If that's the case, fashion will be the least of our worries....
