Awhile back I advised not to use your credit card to shop. With
interest rates the way they are, why would you want to end up paying $100 for a $10 blouse? It just doesn't make sense to me. However, I understand that when you're young, you don't think about the consequences of your actions. Been there, done that. Back in my early 20's I was known to spend +$1,000 on a shopping trip and that was alot to me in the early 90's!
But now I'm older, wiser...and realize that my shopping addiction went much deeper than dropping $500 on the counter. With any addiction, I believe that there's a level of insecurity within one's self that must be fed with material possessions.
Case in point - Ms. Lindsay Lohan, one of the "It" girls. I read through the grapevine that she spent over $1 million last year on adornments. Yes, she can do it because she IS the Ms. Lohan, but I'll tell you point blank that she has issues. Which is probably why she's seeking hypnotherapy to treat her shopping habits (also read through the grapevine).
