I found out via Manolo the Shoeblogger that The Belleville News did a feature today on fashion blogs and how they have made an impact in the fashion world. Some of my favorites made the "sampling of popular style sites" listed below with descriptions from the author of the article, with a few new discoveries that I'll be adding to my own to-read list:
http://gofugyourself.typepad.com --Snarky commentary on celebrity fashion faux pas written by two hilarious Hollywood-based reality TV producers.
www.somelikeithaute.com --Quirky photos of the blogger's feet in her designer shoes accompanied by her fashion-related musings, by a chick-lit author and senior editor at People magazine.
www.mightygoods.com --A practical shopping blog of beautiful gifts and personal goods with a clean, modern aesthetic. An online hybrid of Lucky and Dwell magazines.
www.manoloshoeblog.com --An assortment of pop culture commentary, food, fashion and designer shoe shopping advice by a witty personality named Manolo - but not shoe designer Manolo Blahnik.
www.fashiontribes.typepad.com --Up-to-the-minute fashion, beauty, lifestyle and pop culture dish from the editors of Fashion Tribes magazine.
www.shinyshiny.tv --A chatty shopping blog devoted to stylish tech toys and other geeky gal gizmos.
http://iamfashion.blogspot.com --Fashion and beauty trends - and advice on how to wear them. The two bloggers are also regular contributors to Jane Magazine's blog at www.janemag.com/fashion/blogs.
www.slavetotarget.blogspot.com --Devoted to digging for fashionable budget finds at mass retailer Target.
www.splendora.com/blog --Notes on pop culture, fashion and "all things fabulous."

Hoh! I wasn't included. And I work my butt off. What kind of a list is that?
Well, I know you weren't included because you are new, but I really think you're doing well and forging your path strongly.
But for myself, well c'est la horrible vie. What's a girl to do to make a living for herself?
Who are these Belleville people, anyhow?
;-)
