Ah, to be blessed to live in a "luxury market", as I was once told by a reader of one of my blogs - where people can walk into the store and shell out $1,000 or more on a purse and not blink an eye. And designer clothing seems to keep rising and rising, as said here in an article in Telegraph Fashion.
As the common folk scream "Everything is so expensive!", the affluent probably don't even notice or care. It's all relative. We have to remember that fashion houses live for the affluent, therefore, our rants about rising clothing prices probably go through one ear and out the other. They figure if we really want that 10,000 Chanel bag bad enough, we'll sell our car or children...
I'd rather take that $10,000 and feed a whole country...
