I'm a firm believer in following your dreams and having a passion for what you do. I'm sure that there are many aspiring fashion designers out there with high hopes of making it big someday. I'm here to say that yes, IT IS POSSIBLE. Don't let naysayers bring you down and stop you from accomplishing your goals. If you want something bad enough, it WILL happen for you - just have a little faith and always stay positive.
You're probably wondering where all of this is coming from. I read Danielle's post titled "I'm Not A Fashion Designer" and got kind of a sense that she is losing hope of one day becoming "successful" in the industry. (However, I could be wrong - that's just the vibe I got). But honey, I gotta say that you are already successful simply by staying true to your self and doing what you love to do. Not too many people have the guts to take the risk of venturing out on their own.
As long as you're doing something you are passionate about and have the intention of helping people, you will always be successful. Success really is a state of mind. Once you hold onto that idea that you are a success, nothing or nobody can stop you from achieving all your aspirations.

thanks Maria Palma!
I think I was a little down that day, but you know I got a freelance job from that post, and it's looking up =)
No matter what my task is, I am learning and being challenged by whatever I do. Someday I will discover where I belong, and then I can make a post about what I am, instead of what I'm not.
cheers =)
