I didn't get to watch any of the episode's of Canada's Next Top Model, but read this interview with Tenika Davis, one of the contenders. Here's a question that Tenika answered that I feel is noteworthy here:
After watching The Devil Wears Prada, is this the kind of industry you want to be a part of?
A. Yes, I think the movie highlighted the more negative aspects of the fashion industry, things that people who want to become a part of it should be aware of before entering. However, I think if you have a strong sense of yourself and keep a few friends who know "the real you" around, to remind you in times of uncertainty then you can avoid some of the obstacles Anne Hathaway's character faced. During CNTM, we faced a lot of criticism from the judges about our bodies, hair, makeup, shoes, etc. It was tough, any person who wants to be apart of the industry should know that it is materialistic and that people will judge you based on what you look like rather then who you are inside. Having a strong sense of yourself is what allows you to be able to deal with the negative criticism.
This is a great philosophy and I think can definitely be applied to anybody in any industry!

Update 7/25: I've had to change this post due to a mixup on my part regarding the names. Ooopps! Sorry...

She looks much better now than she did on the shows (she cleans up well, I guess), but I still say Sisi was robbed.
