Here's an interesting statistic I read in this article:
"According to a recent NPD survey of 3,500 consumers, 57 percent of the 13-to-18 age group polled said their purchases are influenced by celebrities or endorsements by celebrities, compared to just 21 percent of overall consumers."
We're still a culture that is still influenced by celebrity endorsements and I find it quite fascinating for some reason. I, for one, could care less who endorses a product. Of course, the fashion industry uses the celebrity in just about every ad campaign which I feel is starting to get a little played out. They also know how impressionable teenagers are so we'll continue to see a plethora of ads with celebrities in teen magazines. I can just picture girls all over the country saying, "But mom, Hillary Duff has one, so I want one too!"
However, I guess I shouldn't speak too soon. Watch me become a celebrity one day and an offer from Louis Vuitton comes my way with huge $$$ attached to it.... Hmmm....Would I change my opinion then?

please could you email me more information on how young women are influenced by the celeberity endorsed fashion in hollywood. i am studying celebrity endorsement for my project at universiity it would be great if you could email me some information regarding this topic. thankyou.
