Amy Merrick of the Wall Street Journal reports that Chico's FAS, Inc.
(CHS), the women's apparel retailer, may be "so successful that there may not be many new customers left to attract". It was once one of the market's best stocks, but now Chico's stock has been going down since March and reached a 52-week low yesterday afternoon. 1
While this is going on, the company is developing three other brands: White House/Black Market which sells only black and white apparel to a younger demographic; Soma, an intimate apparel brand; and Fitigues, an upscale active-wear chain. Despite the expansion and growth of these companies, investors will still base their outlook of the company according to the Chico's brand performance.
Time will only tell what will happen with the company...My suggestion would be to try different marketing campaigns...I've seen Chico's ads in different fashion magazines and they're not too exciting.

White House / Black Market actually sells cream items, blue jeans, khaki items, etc.
