Kenneth Cole has announced that the company will not be showing this fall at Olympus Fashion Week. So who will now open at this year's anticipated event? It's been confirmed by Fern Mallis, vice president of IMG Fashion that John Bartlett will be the one to take Cole's place.
“They let us know very early on that they were going to take a hiatus from the runway,” Mallis said in a statement. “We support Kenneth to do whatever is right at the moment and we are working with them to maintain the connection. We’ll welcome them back when they’re ready to come back.”1
I think it's great for a designer to connect one-and-one with his
buyers and industry people. It's a great way to get the necessary feedback that every business needs. As a designer (jewelry) myself, I like to establish bonds with my clients. They keep me abreast of what their needs are and I make an effort to satisfy those needs.

How are they connecting with consumers? I missed that part.
