I just cleaned my Timberland hiking shoes the other day and I was thinking how well made the shoes are. They've lasted about seven years so far and are still in very good shape! Not only have their shoes lasted a long time, this company has also been around for quite some time as well.
This is a company that gets it. They're innovative and believe in corporate responsibility.
Recently Timberland was awarded the 2006 Industrial Design Excellence Award (IDEA) for the Timberland PreciseFit system. This system allows customers to customize their fit using forefoot inserts. This new system is sure to revolutionize footwear and make customers like me love them even more for it.
Like I said, Timberland also believes in giving back to the community. The company gives employees 40 hours of paid time-off so that they can volunteer in their community.
Will Timberland last another 80 years? I hope so.
