Ah, someone out there has heard all my bitching and complaining about
models not being represented in fashion campaigns! Shop Diary points out that Versace has used Angela Lindvall, Christy Turlington, Carolyn Murphy, Kate Moss, and Daria Werbowy in their A/W 2006-2007 ad campaign. Leave it to Versace to do something different, eh? Well, not necessarily different in the original sense of the word, but different as in, FRESH! EXCITING! REAL MODELS!

I don't know about you, but when real models are used for ads, I pay more attention to the actual clothing versus looking at the person's face and wondering what's going on with them. When it's a celebrity doing the modeling I tend to look into their eyes and wonder, "Is she sad about the breakup? Are all the rumors true about her doing drugs? etc. etc." Not that the models' faces aren't worth looking at, I just want the ad to be about the clothes, not the celebrity...
