
An article at post-gazette.com says that American Eagle Outfitters (AEOS) is looking to spread its wings and take on a whole new audience. The concept is called Martin + Osa and the new audience is in the target range of 25-40-year-olds. The first store is due to open up next month.
Just like I asked about Walmart - Will it work? Taking on a new brand is
nothing new to many fashion retailers. Gap, Abercrombie, Neiman Marcus, etc. all have done it. But with a market that is already pretty saturated, will American Eagle have a compelling story to tell that will make us want to run out and buy their clothing?
Aren’t we overwhelmed with what’s already out there?
