Perhaps it's just me and my need to overcome my fears, but I came across this picture at the New York Day Spa Blog and all I can think of is, "EEEEK!" How does putting a tarantula in a fashion photo make it look glamorous? Nothing against God's creatures, but it detracts from the beauty of the person in the picture. I look at this photo and I get shivers up and down my spine. Nevermind her pretty nails and that gorgeous eyelashes - does that spider bite? 
Which is why I would never make it on America's Next Top Model...*sigh* Tyra Banks said she once had to do a shoot with a snake... I couldn't do it - risk my life over a fashion shoot? Not this chica!
I agree. I never understood the need to add reptiles to "glamor" type ads. I get the whole snake and forbidden fruit thing, but really, we can do without the creatures.
