I received the September 2006 issue of Lucky Magazine a couple weeks ago and for some reason I wasn’t as thrilled as I usually am when it comes to fall magazine issues. I browsed through the magazine and didn’t see anything new. We know that the 80’s are back and skinny jeans are the rage. As much as I love the fall season and the fashion that comes with it, I wasn’t impressed with the upcoming offerings. There wasn’t even one item that I just had to have. I just wasn’t inspired and usually I’m pretty jazzed about going shopping after browsing through a fall issue of a magazine.
Perhaps it’s because I’ve been looking at fall fashion since spring and my mind is saturated with images of fall fashion. Or maybe there isn’t anything real original about these supposedly “new designs” coming out. Either way, I was somewhat disappointed by this particular Lucky issue. Maybe Vogue will present something different. We’ll see.
