Well, Jones Apparel Group Inc. (JNY) is no longer for sale. After months of being on the auction block, Peter Boneparth, the president and CEO, cited that, "The level of indicated interest by outside parties did not justify a sale."
So, it looks like the company will probably go through a major makeover and restructure. Included in these plans are job layoffs and the closure of leased shoe departments. Jones Apparel owns brands such as Nine West, Enzo Angiolini, Bandolino, Easy Spirit, Anne Klein, Evan-Picone, and Gloria Vanderbilt.
Well, in my opinion, the company is doing good with the Nine West brand by collaborating with high fashion designers which I mentioned in a previous post. The other brands definitely need a boost.
