Levi’s is on an aggressive marketing campaign as it has teamed up with leading retailers in hopes to gain back what I’m assuming is lost market share. With so many denim brands out there today, the Levi’s that people own have probably been pushed to the back of the closet - lost in the denim heap. Unless, of course, you’re a die-hard Levi’s fan.
This past week Levi’s reps went to Walmart to push the brand to teens
- particularly young men. They know that women won’t be so inclined to wear a pair of Levi’s with so many more fashionable jeans out there - just my opinion, of course ;) Although, I must point out they have jumped on the skinny jeans bandwagon as well.
The company is currently offering free music downloads with a purchase of $34.99 or more at Walmart. They’re also offering this promo at retailer Sears as well.
In addition to these promos, Levi’s has also partnered with Kellog’s "Special K" brand cereal where they’re offering “instant win” coupons for a free pair of jeans.
Will these promos put the brand back into denim shopper’s minds? For men, perhaps. I see more men than women wear Levi’s. For women? Like I said before, we want those “It” jeans...you know, the $200 and up pair of jeans...Could Levi’s compare?
