Project Runway Recaps and Thoughts

I’ve been on this “No TV” fast for the past few weeks, therefore I haven’t been able to watch “Project Runway”. I waited for the PR enthusiasts to blog about the latest episode... Here’s what I found:

Looking at the photos at Blogging Project Runway from last night’s episode, I can see that this season’s bunch is so fresh and so clean...I especially like the purple dress - don’t know who created it but just about anything purple has a place in this fashionista’s heart ;)

Andy Scott of Oscar and the City is on the same wavelength as me:Project Runway 2006.bmp

“As much as I've enjoyed season 3 so far, Project Runway still appears to be in the process of finding itself. Instead of looking for the next great designer, the producers, editors, judges, whatever, seem much more interested in finding the next great TV villain (or should we say Wendy/Santino?)...And for someone who watches the show mostly for the designs, PR has become a bit of a nusence, even though I clearly understand what I am watching is reality television.”                       Photo Credit:  NBC Universal

And then we get some tv politics from And, you are? :

“I think he [Michael] will make it because, as much has it pains me to say, he will be the "token" designer in the final 3. Even though his designers were fantastic, I think that he will make it because he is a black male of indeterminate sexual orientation. He just needs to keep up his level of work up and he is golden.”

For some fun, check out this video clip...”Shut Up!”:

I just had to comment on Michael's "indeterminate sexual orientation". Uhh...I determined it as soon as I saw him. Gay...and Fabulous! How can someone's gaydar be that fuzzy? Anyway, I've missed the last 2 episodes but I will catch up next week.

i love michael! it's hard to play favorites though because season 3 has got a talented bunch!

and scott? nusence s/b nuisance. spell check please!

See if you can download Project Catwalk, it's the UK version of Project Runway. It is much, MUCH more interesting, design focused and well produced than the American show.

...and if you find a place to download it, drop me an email because I've been dying to see the final episodes of Season 1. :-)

BTW, will you be in NYC for Fashion Week? Would love to meet up!

Thanks for mentioning my blog on your site! Blogger needs to get a grammar check, but I definately need it.

Is there a man designer out there who isn't gay? (Men who design for women...) My mind draws a blank!
