I think we can all agree that the “new and improved” Marie Claire is in fact, much, much better than before. I’ve been browsing through the recent issue with Maggie Gyllenhaal on the front. The apple was a nice, symbolic - yet colorful - touch. 
This is the first time I’ve probably read all the articles in a fashion magazine. I was quite intrigued with the fashion of our leaders in Washington DC. The article about illegal immigrants was especially interesting because I had no idea that some women were being exploited like that.
They did a great job with this issue...very smart...and oh, yes, the fashion features were good too!
I was on the website just yesterday and was so impressed with the Editor's response to all the letters she received from readers venting about Ashlee Simpson on the cover. It was refreshing. Hopefully, they will think a bit before putting another young and obviously impressionable celebrity on the cover.
