
For the San Francisco Fashion Week producers, it’s not about the celebrities, glitz, and glamour that is the norm for fashion shows - it’s about the local designers and the fashion. For this third annual event they’re trying to get more national media by getting MAC cosmetics to sponsor the event and Robert Verdi of “Fashion Police” is supposed to make an appearance. ``It's really about exposing or promoting local talent on the brink, or more avant-garde couture talent,'' says Erika Gessin, founder and producer of the event.
