The other day my boyfriend and I were talking about how excited we were as kids when back to school shopping came around. I remember putting together my “first day back” outfit. Oooooh was I excited! Then I’d get my backpack ready with all my school supplies in a little colorful box - yes, I was a nerd! Ah, those were the days...
Well, I know that back-to-school is just around the corner for many in this country. According to Teri Goldberg, the shopping columnist at MSNBC, value is “hot”. People are more value-conscious nowadays and according to some research 47% of shoppers will only spend less than $250 per child.
Goldberg also lists some of the items people are looking for:
1) Skinny jeans (Ok, we know this already!)
2) Message T’s (Been around for decades)
3) Hoodies (Loved them since the 7th grade)
4) Bags (Who doesn’t carry a bag?)
