What happens when you get one big company and merge it with another big company? Duh - a conglomerate that aims to take over the industry! This is what two of the leading hosiery companies are set out to do. Gold Toe Investment Corp and Moretz Inc. have joined forces and now will take the lead in supplying department stores and specialty sporting good stores with footies and all that good stuff ;)
Gold Toe President Jim Williams said in a statement, “The combined strengths of our new company are perfect complements. Our diversified portfolio of premium brands will target multiple price points and distribution channels across a broad customer base. The company will be uniquely positioned to capitalize on future strategic opportunities.”
Don’t you wish that business people would just loosen up sometimes and give it to us straight? How about, “Hey, y’all, we go good together. We have alot of brands and plan on selling stuff cheap for the broke people and jack up the prices for the rich. We plan on taking over the industry!”
