I was browsing the latest issue of Glamour today and a random thought popped into my mind. What if there wasn’t such a thing as a fashion ad? What would fashion magazines look like? For Glamour it would be ok because the magazine actually has a substantial amount of articles in it - and interesting ones at that. But what about magazines such as ahem - Vogue - who live and thrive off ads? What
if people only knew about fashion from word-of-mouth advertising? What companies would make it and who wouldn’t?
By the way, I also browsed through InStyle and didn’t get through the whole thing....The magazine doesn’t thrill me like it used to. Perhaps it's just me getting older and not being that fascinated with looking at pictures of celebrities in fashion.
