
There’s been an increasing awareness of eco-fashion, so I thought I’d share some eco-fashion terms that can help if you’re an environmentally conscious fashionista:
Fair Trade: people who make clothing are paid a fair wage and have good working conditions![]()
Organic Cotton: cotton that is grown without the use of pesticides or artificial growth fertilizers
Bamboo: plant that can be made into silky-soft fabrics. Bamboo grows fairly quickly and doesn’t need pesticides or fertilizers
Tencel: a very strong, but extremely soft fabric made from 100% biodegradable cellulose. The cellulose is extracted from wood pulp via a non-toxic process
Hemp: a durable and breathable fiber that can grow easily without the use of pesticides or other chemicals

You have a wonderful picture of Organic Cotton, but you have missed the point that not only is it organically grown, but you have a picture of COLORED OPRGANIC COTTON. What
Eco is the acronym for environmentally conscious and organic. ECO's invitation
is for exhibitors from around the world that support sustainable lifestyles.
Free admission for industry trade personnel.
Products made from eco materials. Examples are pure alpaca, angora, bamboo
ecospun, hemp, organic cotton, rattan, silk, sisal, soy, tagua and wool and recycled
products. Merchandise made by eco standards. Examples are apparel for all ages and
genders, accessories, aromatherapy, art, bedding, body care, building materials,
cosmetics, fabrics, finishes, furniture, garden accessories, greeting cards,
housewares, packaging, materials, paper products, promotional products,
office supplies, signs, textiles, toiletries, toys, wall coverings, window treatments
and yarns.
Where
The Venetian Grand Ballroom is located off the long hallway that connects the
Venetian hotel to the Sands Convention Center. (3,000 to 4,000 people pass daily
through this hallway)
The ASAP Show is also held in the Venetian Grand Ballroom while the MAGIC
shows are at the Las Vegas Convention Center and Las Vegas Hilton.
When
The ECO Show is February 12 - 15, Monday through Thursday and held in
conjunction with the ASAP Global Sourcing Show. The nearby MAGIC Show
is February 13 - 16, Tuesday through Friday.
Why
The ECO Show is one-of-a-kind, focused on earth-friendly designs and
environmental fashions. Expect to find fair-trade wholesale vendors with
high end ethical standards. Projected visitors are from 3,000 to 7,000.
Focus
To persuade conventional retailers to convert 200 - 600 square feet of
under-performing retail space into a green boutique.
COST
$28 per square foot.
$2,800 for a 10 x 10 booth.
$3,800 (an additional $1,000) for a furnished 10 x 10 booth with hard walls, racks,
shelves, wooden hangers, table, chairs, waste basket, etc.
OPTIONS
Booths can be shared !
Participating companies will have the opportunity to participate in a ECO wholesale
showroom in the garment district of Los Angeles.
$249 per night for exhibitors at the Venetian Hotel plus 9% Nevada sales room tax.
We suggest that you make room reservations at once since the city of Las Vegas is
going to be sold out. Reason: the National Basketball Association is holding an event
at the same time as our show.
